- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 package (9 oz) tortellini
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil and Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions, about 3-5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy hot!
